The Meaning of Daddy-Kit
When my youngest son, Kit, was a newborn, I would put him in a bouncer on the floor in the kitchen behind me so I could have him near while I made dinner. Kit's big brother, Jed, 2 years old at the time, would wait until Kit was fading off to sleep in the bouncer then yell, "Daddy Kit!" into his ear, startling him. Of course, Jed was reprimanded every time he did this - but, as little boys do, he continued doing it. By the time Kit was 5 months old, Jed's "Daddy Kit" attacks became funny to him and made him giggle and laugh.
So, in calling my bags "Daddy-Kit" I have included all of my boys in the name - the 2 who are named, and the one who said it...okay, yelled it.
